This research update, conducted by Megan Bahr, a master's student who graduated from the Silva Lab, shows that dietary supplementation of rumen-inert fatty acids and rumen-protected choline alters the uterine environment where early embryonic development takes place. Further research is needed to investigate the effects on calves after birth or in pregancy rates of cows receiving this supplementation.
